A banda AnganT tem seu embrião na cidade de São Bernardo do Campo/SP, em julho de 2013 quando Valtão (guitarra) se junta a alguns amigos para tocar covers de bandas de metal como Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Metallica, entre outros. Nessa época surge o primeiro nome da banda: S.O.B.O. – Senses of Black Owl – criado a partir de um trabalho de escola das filhas de Valtão, esse nome duraria até o início de 2018.
A Coruja é adotada como “mascote” da banda, o que se mantém até hoje. Sem muito compromisso, os então integrantes da banda iam saindo e outros assumindo, mas a vontade de fazer algo mais criativo e expressivo rondava a mente de Valtão, até que em uma das formações iniciais, Valtão e mais dois integrantes resolvem optar por um caminho autoral, colocando covers em segundo plano. Nesse divisor de águas, alguns integrantes da banda resolvem sair, ficando a formação com apenas dois guitarristas e um vocalista. Surgem as primeiras composições e riff´s de guitarras autorais. As buscas por novos integrantes continuam e, no mês de outubro de 2014, o baterista Samuel entra para a banda, também buscando sons autorais. Assim, com a formação como quarteto (vocal, guitarra, baixo e bateria), a banda faz uma apresentação “ao vivo” no final daquele ano de 2014.
No início de 2015, a banda busca reformulação para agregar mais uma guitarra ao som da banda e a busca por um novo baixista e um vocalista, já que o baixista anterior assumira então uma das guitarras. Assim, em junho de 2015, Willi entra para a AnganT (ali ainda chamada de SOBO), assumindo os vocais e o baixo, fixando uma das formações que se dedicaram integralmente ao som autoral, com Valter (guitarra), Samuel (Bateria), Willi (baixo e lead vocal) e Madá (guitarra). Com todo o foco do trabalho em sons autorais, a banda se afasta da possibilidade de shows com cover´s e se dedica a horas semanais de estúdio para composição e desenvolvimento de sons autorais. No início do ano de 2017, sai da banda mais um integrante e, depois de vários testes infrutíferos com outros guitarristas, a banda decide seguir caminho como um trio (Valter – Guitarra, Samuel – Bateria e Willi – baixo e voz) e as composições começam a ser reformuladas para execução no formato “power trio”, com a elaboração de alguns registros caseiros de gravações, buscavam dar continuidade ao já extenso trabalho, mas, em verdade, nenhum dos três estava satisfeito com aquela formação (trio), uma vez que a banda sempre foi pensada para duas guitarras. Para a surpresa do trio, no mês de agosto de 2017, recebem o contato de um guitarrista que viu um anúncio feito meses antes na Revista “Roadie Crew” (Revista especializada em Classic Rock e Metal) e depois de um único ensaio, Higor entra para a banda.
A simbiose com Higor foi tamanha que logo se comentava que parecia que ele estava a muito tempo com a banda. Assim, se completa a formação atual e com maior simbiose da banda: Willi – baixo e lead vocal, Valtão – guitarra e backing vocal, Higor – guitarra e backing vocal e Samuel – bateria e backing vocal. Higor chega à banda com a mesma pegada e energia de Valtão, Samuel e Willi e os trabalhos para trazer as composições à forma de quarteto, com arranjos para duas guitarras, são retomados e, finalmente, no mês de junho de 2018, começam as sessões de gravação do primeiro EP da banda AnganT, intitulado “Deep and Far” com previsão de lançamento para o final de agosto e início de setembro de 2018.
Como sinal de virada e retomada de uma nova e promissora caminhada, o quarteto resolve mudar o nome da banda e, depois de uma lista enorme de nomes, é escolhido o nome AnganT, nome em latim que significa “causar dor, sofrimento”, mas que, para a banda, significa o marco de uma etapa de concretização de muito trabalho, mesmo que tudo que passaram até este momento tenha causado muito “sofrimento”, mas nunca desistiram de fazer um som autoral e verdadeiro.

The band AnganT has its embryo in the city of São Bernardo do Campo / SP, in July 2013 when Valtão (guitar) joins some friends to play covers of metal bands such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Metallica, among others. At this time comes the first name of the band: S.O.B.O. – Senses of Black Owl – created from a school work of the daughters of Valtão, this name would last until early 2018.
The Owl is adopted as a “mascot” of the band, which remains today. Without much commitment, the band members then left and others took over, but the desire to do something more creative and expressive prowled Valtão’s mind, until in one of the initial formations, Valtão and two other members decide to opt for an authorial path. , putting covers in the background. In this watershed, some band members decide to leave, leaving the lineup with only two guitarists and one vocalist. The first compositions and riffs of copyrighted guitars appear. Searches for new members continue and in October 2014 drummer Samuel joins the band, also looking for copyrighted sounds. Thus, with the formation as a quartet (vocals, guitar, bass and drums), the band gives a live performance at the end of that year 2014.
At the beginning of 2015, the band seeks reformulation to add one more guitar to the band’s sound and the search for a new bassist and a vocalist, since the previous bassist had then assumed one of the guitars. Thus, in June 2015, Willi joins AnganT (still called SOBO), taking over the vocals and the bass, setting one of the formations that dedicated themselves entirely to the authorial sound, with Valter (guitar), Samuel (Drums), Willi (bass and lead vocal) and Madá (guitar). With all the focus of their work on copyright sounds, the band moves away from the possibility of cover shows and dedicates themselves to weekly studio hours for composition and development of copyright sounds. At the beginning of 2017, the band leaves one more member and, after several fruitless tests with other guitarists, the band decides to follow the path as a trio (Valter – Guitar, Samuel – Drums and Willi – bass and voice) and the compositions. started to be reformulated for execution in the “power trio” format, with the elaboration of some homemade recordings of recordings, they tried to continue the already extensive work, but, in fact, none of the three was satisfied with that formation (trio), once that the band has always been designed for two guitars. To the trio’s surprise, in August 2017, they receive the contact of a guitarist who saw an announcement made months before in “Roadie Crew” Magazine (Classic Rock and Metal Magazine) and after a single rehearsal, Higor enters for the band.
The symbiosis with Higor was such that it was soon commented that it seemed that he had been with the band for a long time. This completes the current and most symbiotic lineup of the band: Willi – bass and lead vocal, Valtão – guitar and vocal backing, Higor – guitar and vocal backing and Samuel – drums and vocal backing. Higor comes to the band with the same footprint and energy of Valtão, Samuel and Willi and the work to bring the compositions into quartet form, with arrangements for two guitars, is resumed and finally, in June 2018, the sessions begin. recording of AnganT’s first EP, entitled “Deep and Far” with release scheduled for late August and early September 2018.
As a sign of the turn and resumption of a promising new walk, the quartet decides to change the band’s name and, after a huge list of names, is chosen the name AnganT, Latin name meaning “to cause pain, suffering”, but which, for the band, means the milestone of a stage of hard work, even though everything that has gone through so far has caused a lot of “suffering”, but they never gave up on making an authoritative and true sound.
